prop.compare

Methodology

Every ranking on prop.compare is a labelled sort on a published formula. There is no composite “overall” score and no editorial “best” list. The default table sort is Rule Freedom.

Default sort axis: ruleFreedom

Provenance rule

A figure is published only when it has a source URL, verification date, and snapshot. Otherwise the cell reads “Not verified” and is excluded from scoring. Request a correction if you spot an error.

Rule Freedom

Mean of verified components on a 0–100 scale: consistency rule, minimum trading days, evaluation time limit, news trading, and weekend holding. Unverified components are dropped. At least two verified components are required to score.

First Payout Speed

score = 100 / (1 + eligibilityDays + cadenceDays + processingHours/24)

Cost to Funded

Combines verified evaluation fee (when published), fee-refund mechanic, and whether the max profit split is an optional checkout add-on. The fee input is the lowest published account tier.

Track Record

Years operating from verified founding year, plus cited third-party rating volume. Longevity is a separate axis from rule design — a young firm can lead Rule Freedom without a multi-year payout history.

Drawdown Stress

ratio = maxDrawdownUsd / (accountSizeUsd × dailySigma × √holdingDays)

Holding days constant: 1. The ratio compares the published loss limit to one day of documented asset-class noise. Prediction-market σ is a separate constant from futures/FX because contracts are bounded in [0, 1].
